EUR/USD tumbles to lows near 1.1160
The single currency is now easing further ground vs. the greenback, sending EUR/USD to test the area of daily lows in the 1.1165/60 band.
EUR/USD lower on USD bids
The re-emergence of the demand for the buck has prompted spot to abandon the vicinity of 1.1200 the figure and give away part of the recent strong advance, following the generalized mood in the rest of the global markets.
Data wise after the opening bell in Euroland, France and Italy will publish the final CPI figures for the month of July, while Export/Import Prices and the usual report on the labour market will take centre stage across the pond.
EUR/USD levels to watch
The pair is now losing 0.11% at 1.1167 and a break below 1.1043 (low Aug.5) would target 1.0950 (low Jul.25) and then 1.0913 (post-Brexit low Jun.24). On the flip side, the next up barrier is located at 1.1193 (high Aug.10) followed by 1.1236 (high Aug.2) and finally 1.1263 (50% Fibo of the May-June down move).
