Canada: CPI rises 1.3% YoY in July
The Canadian consumer price index in July advanced 1.3% from a year earlier, Statistics Canada said Friday. The reading came in line with expectations but below the 1.5% increase seen in June.
The core CPI, which excludes volatile components such as food and energy prices, rose 2.1%, matching the advance in the previous month and analysts’ expectations.
